Jewelry Designer, artist, AGS registered jeweler, GIA diamonds graduate.
Drawing from many years of experience in all areas of the jewelry industry, Pamela is able to carefully listen to her clients to meet and exceed their expectations.
Her passion for jewelry design began At Watertown high school under the direction of her very talented and dedicated art teacher Dorothea LaGrange. She studied all mediums of art including , jewelry making , glass enameling, water colors, oil painting, wood working, drawing and working in clay.
From there she continued her studies in art and graduated college from the School for American Crafts , Rochester Institute of Technology. She became very intrigued by working with precious metals and gemstones. Under the direction of her Professor Hans Christensen, Pamela created functional hollow ware tea pots, serving bowls, serving spoons all starting from sheet brass and sterling silver. Professor Gary Griffin expanded Pamela’s jewelry technique’s in soldering precious metals including platinum, sterling silver and gold. Setting gemstones, Repoussage, reticulation, and electroforming where among the many fields of jewelry design covered. A hand enameled decorative wooden jewelry box incorporated her wood working and jewelry skills.
As a self-employed goldsmith along with her husband, they were the “jewelers jeweler” in upstate New York doing repair work and designing for 40 stores.
Being owners of Les Olson Jewelers in Palm Harbor Florida for now 27 years it brings joy to exceed our customers expectations and help them create mini works of art . Pamela’s skills include Pearl restringing, diamond setting, ring sizing , welding , setting precious gemstones, hand sketches along with being a certified CAD designer. Pamela will listen to your needs, making it a fun experience as we create that very special one of a kind piece of jewelry that can be cherished for years to come .
